The Slickote anodizing process
A machined look
for cast aluminum.
We anodize aluminum castings in-house, then apply a thin Slickote PTFE seal to MIL-A-63576 Type 3. This gives a dull casting the appearance of a machined alloy part, with added surface protection.

A refined appearance
A semi-gloss black finish that gives cast aluminum the look of machined alloy.
Corrosion resistance
The anodized and PTFE-sealed system has been tested to 2,000 hours.
Impact & abrasion resistance
The coating remains bonded even when an impact dents the casting.
Chemical resistance
Resists 30 days of immersion in acetone.
In automotive production
OEM-approved and used on parts supplied by our customers directly to Ford, GM and Toyota factories.
